Oct. 25, 2011. Flows are currently at 1000 cfs in the am, upping to daily lows of about 1200 cfs, and daily highs about 1850 cfs. We're presently getting some snow showers, but the weather is expected to be sunny and warm through the Halloween weedend. The partly cloudy days we've been having are bringing out the baetis the Green River is known for. WD40s, RS2s, PT and small baetis nymph imitations are really hot now. In the miday baetis dry flies such as para adams, griffiths gnat and thorax blue duns are working well. Glo bug action is still very strong, and many Green River flyfishers like to throw streamers this time of year with good success. FORECAST FOR THE NEXT
FEW WEEKS AHEAD- RATED 6.0 This week's "Hot Six Flies": The flies mentioned below suggest the available trout food and their imitations. Each week I will list the top six flies that were productive from the week before. The danger here is that things change from week to week, so while trends in fly selection can be consistent, keep in mind they do also change with current fishing conditions.
